Hi, I Am Summy Nutrition

Hi, welcome to Summy Nutrition! I’m delighted you’ve stopped by and congratulations in taking the first step in bettering your health.

I am a qualified Nutritionist with a BSc Honours degree in Human Nutrition and Health. I have several years of working in the field and a lot of experience in educating the community on living a healthy lifestyle and eating a healthy Diet, through running 1 to 1 consultations, corporate wellness sessions, 6 week health workshops with a number of community groups and companies including: BBC London Radio, Almanaar Heritage Centre (Hub ladies group & New Muslims group-Kristiane Backer) The British Pakistani Psychiatry Association, The SEEAC (Southeast and East Asian Centre) Appeared on TV shows including the Islam Channel and many more.

I have been a guest speaker at many events radio podcasts and have appeared on live television to discuss many health issues/topics and provide evidence based advice. 

I trained as a Dietitian but realised Nutrition was more my passion. I just love educating the public on bettering their health through a number of coping mechanisms as prevention is key! I cover a range of health areas but my speciality lies in T2 Diabetes and Obesity/Weight loss.

I primarily work with Women from ethnic minority groups, (Asian, Middle Eastern and Afro Caribbean) as I know that there is a gap in knowledge in this subgroup and a higher prevalence of health issues, such as Obesity, Diabetes T2, heart disease and other comorbidities. I want to help make a difference to my community and feel that I am able to relate to this subgroup and want to empower the women with the right knowledge and tools to better their health, long term.

My passion is to help people make a change to their diet and lifestyle long term, to create a healthy relationship with food and to stop the yo yo dieting trend in order to live a better, healthier and happier life, my motto is ‘Health is Wealth.’

My motto is simple, to enable you to have a healthy relationship with food and help you to reach your health goals the right way! It can be hard not knowing where to start but yo yo dieting is definitely NOT the right way. It’s all about building a healthy relationship with food and making long lasting, sustainable changes. There is no magic pill or short term quick fixes, this is not the way as these will not be sustainable and will set one up to fail. I’m all about achievable long lasting goals. Lets strike that balance through: Diet, exercise, stress and sleep.  If one area is suffering, this will have a knock on affect on your overall health. That’s why my mission is to empower my clients with the right knowledge and tools that they need, to feel: Happy, healthy and prevent illness and disease.
